McMurdo Fastfind PLB 220 Battery replacement

Battery replacement and functional checks must be done in the workshop by manufacturer certified personnel, we at NjordX have undergone training and certification with the manufacturer Orolia / McMurdo. In addition to the battery change itself, which is a small detail of the whole, its functions are also fully tested with special measuring instruments. Transmission is rigorously tested, checking satellite and radio transmission, but also ensuring that it receives and transmits correct GPS coordinates. In addition to these functional tests, the waterproofing of the device is ensured. Expect a battery change to take two to three weeks as we need to have a number of units to do the tests simultaneously. If the device does not pass all tests after the battery change, you will be offered a new PLB at a reduced price. In cases where you do not want this but only want scrapping, a basic fee of SEK 500 + VAT (625.-) will be charged for the work done until it does not pass any of the tests.
