EPIRB = Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon. The beacon is activated in contact with water or manually. Often programmed with the boat's MMSI number and is registered on the boat. For SOLAS vessels and pleasure craft. Transmits on both 121.5 and 406 MHz, and is also available with built-in GPS.

PLB = Personal Location Beacon. For manual activation. Registered on people and can also be used on land and in the air. Transmits at the same frequencies as EPIRB.

SART = Search and Rescue Transponder. Transponder that transmit a specific signal which appears on surrounding vessels radar or AIS receivers. To be used in life crafts and is a requirement for SOLAS vessels. We can also deliver small personal AIS beacons, easily worn in belts or life jackets.
