TechniStar S2

To receive Pay-TV channels, TechniStar S2 International Edition has an integrated CONAX decoding system, a Smardcard reader and a Common Interface (CI+) with corresponding slot. This interface permits the use of additional decoding systems. The TechniStar S2 International Edition is also equipped with a DVRready and a TechniFamily function. The DVRready function facilitates the recording of broadcasts onto an external storage medium (e.g. a USB hard drive). The TechniFamily feature can be used to set up various different user accounts on the receiver. This can be used, for example, to enable parents to stipulate how long their children can watch television during the day and which channels they can watch.
